After retiring from a career in law enforcement I trained and handled explosive detection dogs for the US State department. While at home on vacation I was at a local gym working out and saw a flyer for a duathlon. I went home and told my wife about it and she proceeded to inform me I didn’t own a bike. The rest is history. I have worked for several Trek retailers and have known that I wanted my own Shop. I’ve taken what I’ve learned from those shops and based my philosophy on that. “We are as passionate about bicycles as you are.”

Angela is an events planner for a major hospital in the area. Her passion for cycling shows as a board member for the Winston Salem cycling classic. She heads up the host housing logistics with international riders. She is a former crit racer who threatens to get back into it as she rides with the international racers when they are in town. Whether a quick out and back after work or training on Zwift, chasing down riders, she just loves to ride. Some Saturdays it’s a toss up whether to ride the bike or get the John Deere out and get stuff done around the house. Angela is great with newer female riders helping them determine what bike and gear will work best for them.

I am currently 18 years of age. I was born, raised, and currently live in Statesville, North Carolina. I live at home with my mom, dad, younger brother, and younger sister. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and girlfriend, being outdoors, and more recently, riding bikes. I attend church at The Oaks, which meets at The Upper Room, where I enjoy spending time with my church family. I am currently attending classes at Mitchell Community College for my Associates in Arts. This job has been a new experience for me, prior to working here I never had retail experience and little bicycle experience. Though I was new to the bicycle community, the guys at the shop have made it easy to adjust and increase my bicycle knowledge.
